Detroit Zoo Run
Congratulations on great race to all the STR racers, pictured above, who lit up the course on the Detroit Zoo Run this morning. Race results are now available (click here). It was great to see everyone out enjoying the beautiful weather. A special thanks needs to be handed out to Ralph and Annette for getting up early to set up the tent and hosting a great post-race barbeque. What a day! STR ROLLS ON...

Thanks to Ralph and Annette for the post race party. Tonya, Blake, and I had a good time.
Also, special thanks to Sean and Kimmy for coming in from Lansing, even though they weren't running, to cheer us through the finish!!
Thanks to all you guys, too. Good times had by all. Z, nice work on your first race, ever. Vin, nice work on your longest race ever. Freeman, thanks for filling out a Large, you are the fastest tire! Mac, thanks of showing us even more uses for duck tape. Tank, thanks for letting Freeman win is first race with STR, Annette thanks for getting up when it was dark and cold. PJ, thanks for coming and bring the shamrock. Shawn and KB, thanks for making the trip and the book, it was awsome. Thanks to the wives and babies for the support, and representing STR inside the Zoo.
The zoo run was a great time. It was fun coming out and cheering everyone on. All the racers did great. We have pictures of everyone (I think) during the run, so if anyone wants pictures, email Shawn directly. It was great seeing so many STR jerseys in one place! Keep up the good work.
What a beautiful day it was! It was the perfect temperature for running too, in my opinion. It was a pleasure meeting the other STR team members and families, and hanging out for a bit in the sun. Big thanks to Ralph and Annette for hosting the afterparty.
The Zoo was a blast - thanks to Ralph and Annette for setting up the tent and also hosting the post race party. KB and Ig - you guys are truly all about the team to come down and cheer us all on. I definitely felt the extra motivation as we rounded the corner off of Woodward to the roar of the Spare Tire Nation. It's good to be one of the slow guys, more people to cheer us at the end! Mac - now I know what I can do with all the extra duct tape I have lying around the house. Z - great work on the 5K. Can't wait for the relay - Spare Tire will roll internationally!
